As from season 2022/23 our SnowPark Eriz joined the group Magic Pass. Our season starts in December. Meanwhile enjoy the ride in 23 summer destinations, as p.ex. Niederhorn, Wiriehorn, Grimmialp or Métabief au Jura français near Valorbe.

The Ski school Eriz offers an extensive range of group lessons and private lessons during the winter months. 

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Enjoy the silence of our valley on 10 km classic- or 12 km skating trail.

The main starting point is located at the “Geissegg” parking at Innereriz.  The trail “Hohgant” (6 km classis + skating) and the trail “Zulg” (8 km classic + skating) run in an easy circuit on the right side of the river Zulg up to Gysenbühl resp. Bieten and back to the starting point. The trail Eriztal is tracked 9 km skating and runs in an partially challenging round circuit on the right and left side, along the Zulg.

We offer you a changing room at “Moosboden”. No more need to get changed in the cold, behind the car! Use our “changing barrel”.

SNOWSHOES

Hiking through a deep snowy landscape, offside the tourism, that’s pure nature. Our pre-alpine area is well suited for snowshoe and snow trekking tours.

The trekking time depends ond the amount of snow and the nature of the route as well as the fitness of the snowshoers. As a guideline, you can count 2-3 km per hour.

Snowshoe route Eriz - Innereriz (challenging)

Rüttegg – Vordere Schöriz – Stouffeli – Ungere Schöriz – Geissegg (Innereriz)

From Rüttegg the route starts with a soft rise past the Alp ‘Vordere Zugschwand’, up to the first hill. Beautiful views of Eriztal opens up again and again over to the “Mittelland”. Throughout a small forest part, you’ll get to the Alp ‘Vordere Schöriz’. Afterward the way runs in a steady incline to “Stouffeli’. The idyllic cottage below the ‘Stouffe’ distinguishes of a beautiful farseightedness, which invites you to linger. Freshly strengthened you manage the last slope up to the ridge. The outlook to the ‘Sieben Hengste’ is just grand and the whole mountains around Eriz.

The decent crosses open, untouched landscape. From the point 1352m you’ll arrive at the Alp ‘Ungere Schöriz’. Follow the summer hiking signs until you arrive at Geissegg Innereriz.

Snowshoe route Innereriz - Rotmoos - Innereriz (easy)

Starting at the centre of the snowpark, near the bus stop Säge,  the trail starts in direction “Hindere Sohl”. After a short rise, you cross the stream Fallbach and you get up on the other side of the valley direction of the farm “Drüschhubel”. As from there, you follow the driveway to the holiday home. At the point 1200m the rise begins up to the “Obere Breitwang”, from which you have a beautiful view down to the valley and wide over the Emmental. During nice weather, this spot is perferct for a little rest.

Back over the gently sloping crest, ou get back to the Rotmoos, the famous nature reserve. The snow covered, half opened area let you dream, how beautiful it must be in summer time. In the area of the summer trail, you cross the Rotmoos and via “Hänsgtli” and “Dräcker” you get back to Innereriz. At the destination, you have various possibilities of catering facilities.

Guided tours

Explore the beautiful area of Eriz through snow covered forests and explore the nature on soft soles and knowledgeable guidance. An adventure of a special kind, with stopover and a little aperitif, followed by a cheese fondue in a homely atmosphere.

SKITOURS

Eriz is well suited for the starting point for tours at the areas Hohgant, Sieben Hengste and Honegg. A tour at the area of the region Thunersee-Hohgant is an unforgettable adventure. With local guidance you get to know the unique area. You chose the route, if one or more days, as arranged with your ski teacher. The tour will be held with your own tour equipment. If wished, the equipment can be hired.

WINTER HIKING

A tracked hiking route leads you from Innereriz over the alp Drüschhubel back to Innereriz. Length app. 3 km, hiking time app. 1 hour.

The tracked hiking trail Zulgwanderweg starts at Innereriz Säge along the river Zulg and the cross-country ski trail to Eriz Linden. Length app. 5 km, hiking time app. 1 hour 15 minutes.

A little used tar road, from Teuffenthal over to Horrenbauch back to Eriz Linden, guides you on to app. 8.5 km wild romantic original landscape. Hiking time app. 4 hours.

From Innereriz via Rotmoos on a tar- and nature road to Schangnau. Length app. 6 km, hiking time app. 2 hours 30 minutes.

SLEDGING

Do you like to have a “slide”? At Innereriz 2 sledging slopes are at your disposal, each of a length of 300 m.  

The first slope ist from parking lot Geissegg across the river Zulg (bridge). 

The second slope is located below the Hotel Schneehas.  

Sledges can be hired at the Ski School Eriz.
